Job Description

Allegiance Staffing is hiring for TEMP-TO-HIRE at a Manufacturing company in Bolingbrook, IL 

SHIFT: 10 PM- 6 AM 

Must work 1 weekend / week 

Friday + weekends start at 4 pm 

This position has the duty of maintaining the cleanness of all production areas. Ensuring compliance with all specifications established by Quality Control as well as the proper execution of HACCP, GMP’s, and any and all other QC related policy/programs. Maintain a great team player attitude; demonstrate a passion for your work, and the willingness to learn.

  • Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies & Safety Procedures.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected for cleanliness.
  • Wear proper PPE and follow GMP’s and other company rules.
  • Uses food safety work practices’ ensuring no product is contaminated as consequences of conducting duties of this position.
  • Responsible for the general clean-up of the production departments.
  • When necessary, inform Supervisor of issues in the department.
  • Promote teamwork and a constructive work environment.
  • Ensure that Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures are followed as required.
  • Take full ownership of an assigned area of responsibility.
  • Maintains active working knowledge of all sanitation and cleaning procedures.
  • Ensures sanitizing chemicals, safety equipment, power equipment and manual tools are being used correctly and safely.
  • Ensures proper chemical handling techniques while wearing the proper PPE.
  • Maintains all buildings by washing walls, ceilings, floors, removing trash and disinfects all refrigerator units and cleans trash room.
  • Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to the department supervisor immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess good organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform well under stress
  • Sanitation experience in a food processing facility.
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to recognize inaccuracies in a timely fashion
  • Must possess an ability to communicate effectively and work well with all people.
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme working conditions including environmental extremes of hot and cold.
  • Must be able to learn how to operate various equipment.
  • Read and understand chemical labels.
  • Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies and Safety Procedures
  • Employees will follow all safety protocols and perform their job responsibilities in a safe manner. Safety is everyone’s responsibility

Potential Hazards:

ü  Will be exposed to noise with hearing protection available

ü  Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes

ü  This is a wet and humid work environment.

ü  Possible tripping and falling

ü  Slip hazards due to a wet environment

ü  Paper cuts, lacerations  due to a knife and heavy machinery use

ü  Muscle strains due to heavy lifting and weights being pulled

ü  Avoid injury when working with a forklift or other employees

ü  Constantly exposed to high temperature and pressure steam piping

ü  Constant reaching and extending of arms and back

ü  Constant exposure to possible splashing of hot water and hazardous chemicals
