Seeking qualified applicants for the position of Risk and Tax Manager. Job responsibilities include: Develops, recommends and implements controls and cost-effective approaches to minimize the organization's risks effects. Identifies and analyzes potential sources of loss to minimize risk and estimates the potential financial consequences of an occurring loss. Leads professional teammates in the areas of sales and income tax, contracts, treasury functions, and internal controls. Manages the preparation of 40 state sales tax returns and various audits. Be a key business partner to his or her peers and their departments in order to facilitate continuous improvement across the division. This position will also be responsible for the safety and other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Supervisor and/or manager recommendation

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance or Risk Management

  • Proficient with Microsoft office products and ERP systems

  • Experience sales tax filings, reporting, reconciliations, and audits

  • Skilled in the areas of risk management, customer and vendor contract terms and conditions, and insurance coverage terms

  • Experience with banking relationships and treasury functions

  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems outside of their own team, improve processes and lead with influence

  • A team builder and team member who motivates others by example

  • Trains and develops team members

  • Organized with a good understanding of all facets of the operation


Preferences:



  • Commercial Construction experience

  • CPA, CMA or MBA

  • Experience in Canada and Mexico
