Job Description


Growing company which provides “build to print” fabrication of new and replacement parts for Commercial Nuclear Utilities and vendors - Seeking an experienced individual who has VT, PT (Visual and Liquid Dye Penetration Inspection) certifications. 


  • Use of the following:
    • Inspection hand tools and gages (micrometers, calipers, bore gages, etc.)
    • Optical Inspection Tools (optical comparator)
    • Portable and stationary computer aided inspection tools (FARO Arm, Laser Tracker, CMM)
  • Verify the following:
    •  Final and “in-process” machined parts.
    • Weld fit-ups, weld joints, and completed weldments.
    • Hydrostatic / Pneumatic testing, functional testing.
    • Calibration.
    • UT thickness.
    • Assisting in the evaluation / interpretation of various inspection, examination, or testing codes.
    • Generation and review of procedures relative to their areas of qualification.  

Job Requirements

Seeking an experienced individual who has VT, PT (Visual and Liquid Dye Penetration Inspection) certifications. 

Will consider candidates meeting one or more of the following criteria:

  • Six (6) years of satisfactory performance beginning at the time the individual was certified as a Level II Inspector (or time accrued with Level II responsibilities  from previous  employers) in actual nuclear inspection, examination or testing activities, or
  • A high school graduate with at least ten (10) years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, or                                                                               ·
  • A high school graduate plus eight (8) years experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, with at least two (2) years as a Level II Inspector associated with nuclear inspection,  examination, or testing activities, or if not, at least sufficient training to be acquainted  with the relevant quality assurance aspects of inspection, examination or testing activities, or
  • Completion of college level work leading to an Associate Degree and seven (7) years of related experience in equivalent  inspection, examination, or testing activities, with at least two (2) years of this experience associated with nuclear inspection, examination,  or testing activities, or if not, at least sufficient training to be acquainted with the relevant quality assurance aspects of nuclear inspection, examination, or testing activities,  or
  • A four-year college graduation  plus five (5) years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, with at least two (2) years of this experience associated with nuclear inspection,  examination, or testing activities, or if not, at least sufficient training to be acquainted  with the relevant quality assurance  aspects of nuclear inspection, examination, or testing activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills are required.


 Previous NDE experience in the areas of PT, UT, VT, MT and RT is a plus.
