Description


The IT Director will provide leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives and systems policies. The IT Director directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, sales and operations. This individual is responsible for all aspects of the organization's information technology and systems.


The IT Director establishes and directs the strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for the information technology department. Determines our long-term systems needs and any hardware or software acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization's business objectives. The IT Director will contribute to developing the overall plan, budget and goals of the company.


Responsibilities include:



  • Responsible for the daily function and maintenance of all infrastructure and IT systems.

  • Responsible for developing and communicating all IT related department objectives, goals and projects to meet business needs.

  • Evaluate and monitor projects to ensure they are completed timely and accurately. Manage strategic and tactical project planning, priorities and deadlines.

  • Support project teams to ensure timely execution with quality.

  • Directs the design, development and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to meet the needs of the Company.

  • Administers and controls the Information Technology department expense budget to contribute to a cost effective operation.

  • Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware to assure that new developments are incorporated in future systems of the Company.

  • Works closely with his/her team and directly with business units, internal and external customers to understand business requirements.

  • Ensure productive collaborative cross departmental communication and coordination of all IT activities.

  • Ensure that Disaster Recovery Plan and Business Continuity Plan are comprehensive in nature and up to date, tested and well documented. Coordinate and share plans with other departments that have dependencies.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree information technology or related field

  • 10 plus years of experience

  • Strong verbal communications skills and presentation skills

  • Proficient with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP (Stratix is a plus)

  • Available to travel
