Description


The Contract Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and negotiating commercial construction material supplier or sub-contractor terms and conditions to minimize the company’s risk. Establish and maintain relationships within the business lines, contract managers, legal and sales groups to effectively understand needs and capabilities and to effectively complete document requests. Handle multiple projects in fast paced team environment. Advice and interpret contract requirements, obligations and risks. Manage daily contract status and report issues with descriptions on contract terms with legal requirements and policies. Assist the company with other contract issues such as supplier agreements, leases, and other agreements. Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • At least 2 years’ experience in construction contract terms and conditions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Manage the workflow of reviewing contracts, agreements and other legal documents

  • Review and gather information; ensure that contracts are in compliance with company policy, government specifications, and other requirements

  • Assist internal customers with resolving contractual issues, including interpreting contract terms and condition

  • Effectively process and review routine contract option renewals, modifications, etc.

  • Ability to review and track certifications of insurance for compliance

  • Organize, maintain and electronically track all contracts and related documents in system of record


Preferences:



  • Experience with multiple locations including Canada and Mexico.

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and/or French)
