NOW HIRING: Electronic Calibration Tech

1st shift Position: 7:30am- 4pm

Calibration Tech -Responsibilities:

  • To follow and support the Quality Manager, the quality manual, quality policies, and work environment policies

  • Calibration of various electronic test equipment.

  • Fulfill training requirements

  • Proper performance of calibrations and usage of equipment

  • To assist in gage cleaning when needed

  • Preparation of items for shipment, assist shipping & receiving

  • Familiarity with national and international calibration standards. Mil, ANSI and ASME standards used frequently.

  • 30% to 50% onsite calibrations require inside of customer facilities

  • Strong communication skills and customer relations as interfacing with customer base on behalf of the company is required

  • Strong discipline in following procedures and work with little to no supervision

  • Problem solving technical calibrations on electronic and or test equipment that may be running specific test for the customer. This will require the technician to figure out some complex methods in order to connect calibration equipment and run test.

  • Work area cleanliness and organization

  • Maintenance and S.P.C. of equipment where required

  • Maintenance of the quality files and any daily records

  • Accuracy of information provided on certifications generated

  • Advise customer service/order entry or management of any changes in job status for jobs in the lab

  • Meet customer deadlines for electronic calibrations on site in customer facilities and work load within our lab.

  • Ensure the availability of work materials such as gloves, certification paper, cleaning materials, and stickers

  • Notify management of any change in the lab or equipment conditions and/or stopping work when necessary

Calibration Tech -Capabilities:

  • Experienced and proficient in testing multi-meters, Power supplies, Multi-function Generators, High Power AC and DC Power Supplies and Loads.

  • Strong metrology background required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Cal Lab.

  • Must also be experienced and comfortable working with high-power test equipment such as AC Sources, AC/DC Loads and DC Power Supplies. If not already experienced, candidate must have an aptitude and willingness to learn to calibrate multi-meters, capacitance meters, function generators, pressure, ohm meters, infrared thermometers and temperature.

  • Strong background with computers, Windows OS, and gaging software systems.

  • Excellent English writing and reading skills.

  • Military calibration training and/or civilian lab experience.

  • Knowledge and experienced with schematics, wiring diagrams and other technical documents

  • Solid calibration skill set desired.

  • Solid familiarity with current and older test equipment from Agilent (HP), Fluke and Tektronix.

  • Test equipment repair experience a plus.



Job Requirements

Calibration Tech - Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Associates degree in electronics preferred

  • 5 year related work experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills

  • Prefer 17025 Lab Experience but not required

  • Knowledge of Calipers & Micrometers

  • Knowledge of height gages
