Bookkeeper (Accounts Payable Manager) Responsibilities



We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Bookkeeper (highly skilled Accounts Payable Manager) to maintain financial records accurately.


This full-time position will be responsible for processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, as well as, performing some account reconciliations, and booking journal entries. Candidate’s personal qualities must include honesty, integrity, confidentiality and professionalism in the formulation and implementation of business decisions. Candidate must also be a motivated self-starter with excellent problem solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities and have interest in developing new, more efficient ways of processing tasks. We are looking for someone to provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment/receivables of accounts under his or her control.


Ultimately, the Bookkeeper (Accounts Payable Manager) responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.




  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger;

  • Bring the books to the trail balance stage;

  • Perform partial checks of the posting process;

  • Recoding deposits;

  • Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner;

  • Communicating with outside tax accountant;

  • Maintaining and performing other related financial activities; and

  • Check bills for accuracy and negotiate with vendors to get items corrected.




Job Requirements



  • Proven bookkeeping experience;

  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable accounting principles;

  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records;

  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers;

  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software;

  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office;

  • Customer serviced orientation and negotiation skills;

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and admin skills;

  • Ability to work independently and think proactively;

  • Professional, positive attitude, enthusiastic and self-motivated;

  • Strong time management skills;

  • Reliable, trustworthy and positive attitude;

  • Ability to multi-task, solve problems and prioritize without compromising details; and

  • Willing to step outside the boundaries of the job description when necessary.



            Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.


Salary Range


            $35,956 - $45,955    ($17.50 to $23.00/hr.)
